Accessibility Software Pricing: What to Expect
Accessibility software pricing explained: per site, per visit and per page models, typical ranges, audit costs, and how to pick a plan that fits your site.

- website accessibility costs
- accessibe pricing
- axeazy pricing
- accessibility audit cost
Opening answer
Accessibility software pricing runs from free checks to quote only managed services, with most paid products in between. A small site can start at $0 for a scan, pay a monthly per site fee for code fixes, or pay by monthly visits for a visitor menu. A larger site may pay $490 to $3,990 a year for a visit based widget, or $1,250 to $2,750 for a one off manual audit. The right budget follows the job: find issues, fix code, give visitors controls, or hand the work to experts.
Pricing models in plain terms
The price unit matters more than the headline price. Read the unit first, then the price.
- Per site: a flat fee for one site, or a set number of sites on an agency plan.
- Per visit: the fee rises with monthly visits, so a busy month can move a site into a higher tier.
- Per page view: the fee rises with page views, which count differently from visits.
- Per page count: the fee rises with the number of pages on the site.
- Per page audit: a one off fee for a manual review of a set sample of pages.
- Quote only: no published price. The vendor quotes after learning site count, page count, traffic and scope.
- Free check: a free scan or a free page checker. It finds issues, but it does not fix every issue on a site.
Typical ranges, with sources
Prices below are dated October 31, 2026.
- Visit based widget: accessiBe accessWidget lists Micro at $59 a month or $490 a year for up to 5,000 visits a month, Growth at $179 a month or $1,490 a year for up to 30,000 visits a month, and Scale at $479 a month or $3,990 a year for up to 100,000 visits a month. Enterprise pricing above that is custom, and yearly billing saves 30 percent.
- Quote only managed tiers: AudioEye lists Automated, Self-Managed and Managed, with no dollar figures on its plans page. Automated is automation only and does not include expert testing for remaining issues. Self-Managed guides a team to fix at source, and Managed is handled by experts. Ask for a written quote before you compare it on price.
- Manual audit: Accessible.org lists most audits at $1,250 to $2,750, primary pages at $100 to $250 each, and light pages at $25 to $100 each. A VPAT is listed at $350, and technical support at $195 an hour. An audit is a formal evaluation with a detailed report. It does not, by itself, change site code, so budget separately for fixes.
- Free checks: WAVE gives a free evaluation of one page, and Axeazy gives a free 60 second scan with no signup and no card.
Example budgets
Your own total will turn on site count, traffic, page count and scope.
- Small single site, code fix route: start with a free scan at $0, then a paid per site plan if the scan shows work worth fixing in code. Paid plans add a dated record, PDF reports and weekly monitoring. Time to review a pull request or follow a checklist is part of the cost, even though it shows on no invoice.
- Small site, visit based widget route: budget $490 a year at Micro for up to 5,000 visits a month. If traffic grows past that level, budget for the step to Growth at $1,490 a year. Plan that step in advance, so a good traffic month does not arrive as a surprise bill.
- Site that needs a formal review first: budget $1,250 to $2,750 for a manual audit of a sample of pages. Add a separate line for fixes, for retesting, and for any VPAT or support time. A one off audit fee is not a yearly subscription, so do not compare it directly with a monthly fee without adding the fix work.
- Agency with client sites: compare a per site agency plan with a quote only managed tier, and ask both vendors what record each client will receive.
What Axeazy costs and what it does
Axeazy fits a reader who wants fixes in site code plus a dated record, rather than a visitor menu alone. It scans with axe-core and fixes 14 categories at code level. For a site with a GitHub repo, fixes arrive as a pull request with a visible diff for owner review and merging. For WordPress, a free plugin applies three fixes at render time: a skip navigation link, a page language attribute, and an alt text fallback, with no account needed.
For Shopify, Axeazy scans the store and gives a guided plain-English checklist the merchant or theme editor can follow. For other sites, Axeazy gives computed fix values plus a guided checklist, with owner approval before any change. Colour contrast is detected and a WCAG-correct colour is calculated, but it is never applied without owner approval.
Start with Axeazy's free scan, which takes about 60 seconds, needs no signup, and needs no card. Paid plans are listed on the capabilities page at Starter $29 a month, Pro $79 a month and Agency $199 a month, with paid prices shown at checkout and annual billing saving 20 to 25 percent. Read Axeazy's pricing page for the current checkout terms. Paid plans give PDF reports and weekly monitoring, and every scan and fix is dated.
How to choose, and common mistakes
First, name the job in one sentence: find issues, fix code, give visitors controls, or hand the work to experts. Second, count the right unit for that job. Third, ask what changes in the code, who reviews a fix before it goes live, and what record you will hold in six months.
Common mistakes cost more than a wrong tier choice. One mistake is comparing a monthly fee with a one off audit fee as if they buy the same thing. A second mistake is buying a visit based plan on a quiet month, then facing a tier step in a busy month. A third mistake is paying for a widget and skipping the code fixes that a checker flags. A fourth mistake is signing a quote only deal without a written scope.
A fifth mistake is treating a marketing claim as a legal result. No tool, on its own, makes a site free of risk. For a fuller price and fit comparison with accessiBe, see the earlier article on this blog: Axeazy vs accessiBe: Price, Fixes and Fit.

FAQ
What does accessibility software usually cost?
It runs from $0 for a free check to a custom quote for a managed service. A visit based widget can run $490 to $3,990 a year at published tiers, a per site code fix plan is listed at $29 to $199 a month on the Axeazy capabilities page, and a manual audit often runs $1,250 to $2,750.
Is a free scan enough for a small site?
A free scan is enough to learn the scale of the work and to find the first issues. It is not enough, on its own, to fix every issue on a site. Use the scan result to decide if a paid plan, a plugin, a checklist, or expert help fits the issues found.
Why do two vendors quote such different prices for the same site?
They may price different units and different work. One vendor may price by visits, one by page views, one by site count, and one by page sample for an audit. One may sell a visitor menu, one may sell code fixes, and one may sell expert review.
Should I pay monthly or yearly?
Yearly billing can save money, with accessiBe listing a 30 percent saving and Axeazy listing an annual saving of 20 to 25 percent at checkout. Yearly billing also locks you in for a year, so it fits best after a free check on your own site. Monthly billing lets you test fit, record and support before you commit for a full year.
What should I ask before I pay?
Ask what changes in the source, who reviews a fix before it goes live, how the price is counted, what happens when traffic or page count rises, and what record you will hold in six months. Ask for the quote and the scope in writing. If a vendor cannot answer in plain terms for your own site, keep looking.
