Website Accessibility Checker Pricing: Free to Paid

Opening answer

Website accessibility checker pricing runs from free one page checks to entry paid plans for a single site and agency plans for client work. A free checker helps you find issues on one page. An entry paid plan adds fixes in code, monitoring over time and a dated record. An agency plan adds more sites, client reports and a white label portal. This article explains what each price level adds, gives current Axeazy and accessiBe figures checked October 31, 2026, and gives a plain way to pick a level without paying for work you do not need yet.

What each price level adds

Price levels differ by job, not only by price. A free level finds issues. An entry paid level fixes issues and watches for new ones. An agency level repeats that work across client sites.

Free level

  • One page checks with a visual report.
  • No card and no signup for the simplest scans.
  • Issues to fix by hand, with no fix applied.
  • A first step that shows work scale on your own site.

Entry paid level

  • Fixes in code for a set list of issue types.
  • Monitoring on a schedule after site changes.
  • A dated record of scans and fixes.
  • More pages and sites than free, with clear caps.

Agency level

  • More client sites under one account, with per client reports.
  • A white label portal and reports carrying your brand.
  • Bulk actions, such as a bulk scan trigger.
  • Client management in one place.

The free tier in practice

WAVE is a free evaluation tool from WebAIM. Enter a page address, or use a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox or Edge, and WAVE overlays icons to show errors, alerts and features. WAVE states plainly that it cannot tell you if web content is accessible, and only a human can determine that. The absence of errors does not mean a page is accessible.

A free check finds issues; it does not fix them.

Google Lighthouse gives a free one-page audit in Chrome DevTools. Run it on one page, read the accessibility section, and fix what it flags in your code. It is a check, not monitoring and not a fix service.

Axeazy also gives a free starting point. The free scan takes about 60 seconds and needs no card, and covers 1 site, a homepage scan only, and 3 scans a month. Use it to learn how many issues sit on your homepage, then decide if an entry paid plan is worth it.

Entry paid: what changes when you pay

Paying should change the work, not only the report. Look for three changes. First, fixes land in code, with a review step you control. Second, monitoring repeats on a schedule. Third, the record is dated and kept over time.

AccessiBe prices its accessWidget plans by monthly traffic to the domain, with plans starting at $59 a month on the pricing page read October 31, 2026. A site with seasonal peaks should ask how a traffic rise changes the tier before signing up. Ask also what changes in code, what is monitored, and what record you will hold after six months.

Axeazy prices by site and page count at entry level, not by visits. That fits a small site with steady pages but uneven traffic, because a busy week does not move the site into a higher tier.

Axeazy pricing in plain terms

Axeazy scans with axe-core and fixes 14 categories at code level. For a GitHub repo site, fixes arrive as a real pull request with a visible diff for owner review. For WordPress, a free plugin applies exactly 3 instant fixes at render time: a skip navigation link, a page language attribute, and an alt text fallback, with no account needed.

For Shopify, Axeazy scans the store and gives a guided plain-English checklist for the theme editor. For other sites, Axeazy gives computed fix values plus a guided checklist, with no automatic changes. Colour contrast is detected, and a WCAG-correct colour is calculated, but no colour change is applied without owner approval.

Every scan and fix carries a date. Paid plans give PDF reports and weekly monitoring.

On the capabilities page, Axeazy lists Starter at $29 a month, Pro at $79 a month and Agency at $199 a month. On the live pricing page, paid prices are shown at checkout, with annual billing saving 20 to 25 percent. Confirm the checkout price before you pay.

Starter covers 1 site up to 500 pages, Pro covers 3 sites, and Agency covers 10 sites included. See the full scope on Axeazy's capabilities page and confirm the checkout price on Axeazy's pricing page.

Agency tier: what changes again

An agency tier should save time across clients, not only add sites. Look for a white label portal, white label reports, client management, bulk scan triggers and per client report pages.

Axeazy Agency includes 10 sites, with a white label portal, white label badge and reports, client management, a bulk scan trigger and per client report pages. Before you pay, count the clients you will onboard in the next three months.

If that count is one or two, entry paid plans may cost less. If it is five or more, the portal and bulk actions may save reporting time. Ask for a sample client report, and check that it shows dates, findings and fixes in plain terms.

How to choose, and mistakes to avoid

Start with the job in one sentence. Find issues on one page, fix code on one site, or manage fixes across client sites. That sentence points to a price level before you compare brands. Next, count the right unit. Count pages and sites for Axeazy, monthly visits for accessiBe, and one page at a time for a free checker.

A mismatch here is the most common pricing surprise. A plan that looks cheap by site count can cost more by traffic, and vice versa. Avoid four mistakes. First, do not buy an agency tier for a single site. Second, do not treat a free checker score as a finished job, because a human still needs to judge alt text quality and reading order.

Third, do not buy on price alone without asking what changes in code, who reviews a fix, and what dated record you will hold. Fourth, do not skip the free step. A free scan, a WAVE check and a Lighthouse audit each tell you something real about your own site.

This is general information, not legal advice. If you have received a demand letter or been sued, talk to a qualified attorney.

The Department of Justice guidance lists colour contrast, text alternatives for images, captions, form labels, keyboard access and headings among the features to check. A plan that helps you find and fix those items, and that checks against WCAG 2.2 AA, gives you a practical work list. Code level fixes plus a dated record of the work can reduce risk over time.

FAQ

What does a free website accessibility checker do?

A free checker finds issues on one page and shows them in a report or as icons on the page. WAVE shows errors, alerts and features on the page you enter. It does not fix code, and it cannot tell you if content is accessible on its own. Use it to learn the scale of work, then pick a fix workflow.

What does an entry paid plan add over a free checker?

An entry paid plan adds fixes in code, monitoring on a schedule and a dated record. For Axeazy, that means 14 fix categories at code level, weekly monitoring and PDF reports. For a traffic priced plan, it means ongoing scans tied to monthly visits. After you pay, does code change, does monitoring repeat, and does the record show dates.

When does an agency tier make sense?

An agency tier makes sense when you manage several client sites and need one portal, white label reports and bulk actions. Axeazy Agency includes 10 sites, with client management and per client report pages. If you manage one or two sites, entry paid plans may cost less.

How do I avoid paying for the wrong price unit?

Count the unit before you buy. Count sites and pages for a site based plan, and monthly visits for a traffic based plan. Ask what happens when that unit rises, and ask for the checkout price in writing. A free scan gives a real issue count to test the plan against.
