Axeazy vs AudioEye: Pricing and Approach

Axeazy vs AudioEye compared by fix method, plan structure and fit, with Axeazy code level fixes, dated records and plain steps for choosing one.

Opening answer

If price is your first question, the two vendors answer it in different ways. Axeazy lists plan figures on its capabilities page, while its pricing page shows paid prices only at checkout. AudioEye names three plans, Automated, Self-Managed and Managed, and the plans page read on October 31, 2026 shows no dollar figures. That split shapes the rest of the choice. One route centers on code level fixes with a dated record, while the other centers on automation first, with expert help added at higher tiers.

The price question first

Axeazy plan figures are listed on the capabilities page at Starter $29 a month, Pro $79 a month and Agency $199 a month. Read those figures with the checkout caveat attached, since the live pricing page shows paid prices only at checkout, with annual billing saving 20 to 25 percent. A free tier is also listed at $0, for 1 site, homepage only, with 3 scans a month.

AudioEye takes a different route on price. Its plans page names Automated, Self-Managed and Managed, and the page read on October 31, 2026 shows no dollar figures. That absence is not a gap to fill with a directory figure or an old quote. Ask AudioEye for a written quote for your site count and traffic, and keep that quote next to the Axeazy figures before you decide.

What Axeazy does

Axeazy fits a small business, a shop owner with one store, or an agency with up to 10 client sites, when the reader wants fixes in code plus a dated record. It scans with axe-core and fixes 14 categories at code level, including alt text, skip navigation, language attributes, form labels, link and button names, ARIA labels and attributes, keyboard tab order, pinch to zoom restrictions, iframe titles, table header structure, and landmark and heading structure. Every scan and fix is dated. A dated record can reduce risk when a site owner must show what was found and what was fixed.

For a site with a GitHub repo, fixes arrive as a pull request with a visible diff for review and merging. Nothing goes live from that pull request until the owner or a developer reviews it. For WordPress, a free plugin applies exactly 3 fixes at render time: a skip navigation link, a page language attribute, and an alt text fallback. No account is needed for that plugin step.

For Shopify, Axeazy scans the store and gives a guided plain English checklist the merchant or theme editor can follow. Shopify gets no automatic fixes and no pull requests. Other sites get computed fix values plus a guided checklist, with no automatic changes to the live site.

The free scan takes about 60 seconds, needs no signup, and needs no card. Paid plans are listed on the capabilities page at Starter $29 a month, Pro $79 a month and Agency $199 a month, with paid prices shown at checkout on Axeazy's pricing page. Starter covers 1 site up to 500 pages, with weekly monitoring and timestamped scan history. Pro covers 3 sites.

Agency covers up to 10 client sites, with a white label portal, reports and badge, bulk scanning, and per client risk scoring. Paid plans also give PDF reports, with the agency plan giving co-branded PDF reports for client work. Full plan scope is set out on Axeazy's capabilities page.

What AudioEye does

AudioEye fits a team that wants automation first, with expert help available when the job grows. Automated is the basic plan for automation only monitoring, fixes, and online support. It does not include expert testing for remaining issues. That limit is stated on the plans page itself, so a buyer can weigh it before choosing the lowest tier.

Self-Managed guides a team to fix at source. It adds developer tools, expert guidance, custom training, an accessibility scanner, and expert audit and reporting. That tier fits a team with developers who can act on audit findings in their own code.

Managed is handled by experts. It adds custom written fixes for the site, expert audit and reporting, continuous monitoring, and AudioEye Assurance on qualifying Managed packages, subject to order terms. That tier fits a buyer who wants the work handled rather than guided.

AudioEye also lists added services, including document remediation, consulting and training, mobile audit, custom legal response, and closed captioning. Ask which ones a quote includes, since they sit outside the three main tiers.

Side by side for common site types

  • One small site, no developer: Axeazy free scan first, then a paid plan if the scan shows code fixes to land. AudioEye Automated gives monitoring and automated fixes, but no expert testing for remaining issues.
  • WordPress shop, low budget: Axeazy free plugin first, because it applies 3 fixes at render time with no account needed. AudioEye Self-Managed fits better if the shop has a developer who can fix at source.
  • Shopify store: Axeazy scan plus a guided checklist for the theme editor, with no automatic Shopify fixes. Ask AudioEye what its quote covers for a Shopify theme first.
  • Agency with client sites: Axeazy Agency covers up to 10 client sites, with a white label portal, reports and badge, bulk scanning, and per client risk scoring. AudioEye Managed gives expert handled fixes, so ask both vendors what record each client will receive.
  • Team with developers: AudioEye Self-Managed gives developer tools and audit reporting for fixes at source. Axeazy gives pull requests with a visible diff for review and merging.

How to choose

First, name the job in one sentence. Fix the code, get monitoring with automation only, get guided help for a developer team, or hand the work to experts. Second, count the right unit. Sites and pages for Axeazy, and a written quote for AudioEye that states site count and scope.

Third, ask for the record. A dated list of fixes, a timestamped scan history, a PDF report, or an audit report will matter more in six months than a score today. Fourth, try the free step before you pay. A free 60 second scan tells you something real about your own site, not about a demo site.

Check the work against WCAG 2.2 AA, the current W3C guidance for web content. It covers checks from color contrast and text alternatives to form labels and keyboard access. Automated checks help you find and fix many issues, and a manual check still matters for reading order and video captions. ADA.gov guidance names the same barriers, including poor color contrast, missing alt text, missing form labels, and mouse only navigation.

Common mistakes

  • Comparing a monthly figure with a yearly figure without the checkout caveat. Axeazy capabilities figures are listed figures, while the pricing page shows paid prices only at checkout, with annual billing saving 20 to 25 percent.
  • Comparing a quoted AudioEye price with an Axeazy list figure when the AudioEye quote covers a different site count or tier. Match site count, tier, and record before you compare price.
  • Picking automation only and then expecting expert testing for remaining issues. AudioEye Automated states that it does not include that testing, so choose Self-Managed or Managed if that testing matters.
  • Picking a Shopify plan and expecting automatic theme fixes from Axeazy. Axeazy gives a Shopify scan plus a guided checklist only, so plan time for a theme editor to apply the steps.
  • Treating a clean automated report as a full answer. A report with no errors does not mean a page is free of barriers. Pair automated checks with a manual review of reading order, captions, and keyboard paths.

FAQ

Is AudioEye cheaper than Axeazy?

No price answer can be given from the vendor pages read on October 31, 2026. Axeazy lists Starter $29 a month, Pro $79 a month and Agency $199 a month on its capabilities page, with paid prices shown at checkout on its pricing page and annual billing saving 20 to 25 percent. AudioEye shows no dollar figures on its plans page, so ask AudioEye for a written quote for your site count and tier before you compare price.

Which vendor fixes code rather than adding a menu?

Axeazy is the clearer code fix route in this comparison for a small business. It fixes code through a pull request for GitHub sites, through a WordPress plugin, or through a guided checklist for Shopify and other sites. AudioEye Managed also gives custom written fixes, handled by experts, while Self-Managed guides a team to fix at source.

What does AudioEye Automated leave out?

AudioEye Automated is automation only for monitoring and fixes, with online support. It does not include expert testing for remaining issues, as stated on the plans page. That limit matters if a site has issues that automation alone cannot judge, such as reading order or the sense of a heading structure. Choose Self-Managed or Managed if expert testing and audit reporting matter for your site.

Which plan fits an agency with client sites?

Axeazy Agency fits an agency with up to 10 client sites, with a white label portal, reports and badge, bulk scanning, and per client risk scoring. That record helps an agency show each client what was found and what was fixed. AudioEye Managed fits an agency that wants expert handled fixes rather than a client reporting portal, so ask AudioEye what client record a Managed quote includes before you choose.

What should I do if I get a demand letter?

This is general information, not legal advice. If you have received a demand letter or been sued, talk to a qualified attorney. A scan can give you real data about what is wrong and what has already been fixed, which helps that conversation.

Do I need to pay to find basic issues?

No, not for a first pass. Axeazy gives a free 60 second scan with no signup and no card, and that scan shows violations on the homepage. Paying helps when you need fixes in code, monitoring across many pages, a dated record, or expert review. If your site has only a few pages, a free scan plus a free plugin may cover the first pass.
